Recently, Hyundai announced to launch EON in Indian market. It is priced at Rs. 2.69 Lakhs and Rs 3.71 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

An online news portal about auto industry - www.zigwheels.com writes about the features of Hyundai EON, “A well configured 814cc three cylinder petrol engine on the new Hyundai EON is capable of developing 56 PS of power @ 5500 rpm with a maximum torque of 76.5 Nm @ 4000 rpm. As per ARAI certification, the new small car from Hyundai is expected to offer class leading mileage of more than 21.1 kms/ltr. Hyundai has introduced the new car in six variants, starting with the base D-Lite variant, which has been priced at Rs.2.69 Lakhs. The top-end Sportz variant of the new Hyundai Eon carries the highest price tag of Rs. 3.71 Lakhs.”

Further it adds, “The pint sized EON from Hyundai has a short overall length of 3,495 mm, but is wider and higher than the Maruti Suzuki Alto model. The EON has indeed taken the cosmetic appeal of its class of cars a step further by offering several firsts-in-class segment features like 2-tone beige and brown dual tone interiors, an internally adjustable driver’s side rear view mirror and even included a heater in the standard variant.”

At the end, it writes about Hyundai EON car, “The top-end Sportz model comes with a considerable list of features such as metallic finish steering wheel, silver inserts in the centre console, driver’s side airbag, USB equipped stereo, fog lamps. But, even in the higher up Magna variants features such as air tilt steering, front power windows, a rear parcel tray, gear shift indicators and central locking all come as standard. The Hyundai EON looks worthy of contributing in a big way to the already rising sales figures of Hyundai, and is bound to unsettle it’s competition in the budget end of the market. Below is the variant wise pricing details of the new Hyundai EON.” It is the most comprehensive car like Honda Brio.
