Recently, the new version of Toyota Corolla Altis launched in Indian market. The car comes at the price range of 10.53 to 14.77 lakh for the petrol version and 11.46 to 14.55 lakh for the diesel version.

A re-designed headlamp and a smarter looking new grille are among the impactful exterior changes you will now see on the new versions of the Corolla Altis.
Where power delivery is concerned, the 1.8 litre petrol engine’s cubic capacity has been bumped up by 4cc to now make it 1798cc. The Corolla Altis petrol also now gets an advanced Dual VVT-i system that employs two separate variable timing mechanisms for the exhaust and the intake valves. This in turn churns out 140PS @ 6400 rpm and up to 173Nm of torque.”
Further it adds, “Two new gearbox options, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed CVTi transmission (top-end petrol version) will now replace the 5-speed manual shift that the petrol version of the Corolla Altis was previously offering its buyers. The diesel version of the Altis as always will feature the same 6-cog manual.”
About the fuel efficiency it writes, “Overall fuel efficiency is up on both versions of the car as well – the ARAI claimed figures for the petrol car being at 15.22 kmpl and those for the diesel car at 21.45 kmpl.
